Helping Hands

Helping Hands Outreach

There is always a need to help those less fortunate who need that simple caring touch to get through one day, one week, one new challenge. Now, more than ever our “Helping Hands” volunteers fill a gap that makes a difference in our community.

The Patapsco UMC location throws open the doors each Friday from 4-5:30 pm to serve a hot meal to all those in need. Presently, there is a limited clothing and food pantry. We are very proud that we have been able to find a way year after year to keep our doors open. We thank you for that and for your support for so many years. Contact: Roger & Darlene Lee if you have questions about this outreach program.

Helping Hands is funded by donations and various fundraisers throughout the year.

Edgemere Food Pantry

Hunger knows no season. Please continue to support the Edgemere Food Pantry (the Edgemere Food Pantry is housed at St. Luke’s). It is heartwarming to know that our simple gifts, like a box of cereal, jar of mayonnaise, or can of tuna can make a difference in the lives of our neighbors. Sometimes it is hard to know how to help or reach out, but bringing a non-perishable item to the Lodge Forest UMC location every Sunday certainly makes it easier. Contact: Tony Karavas
